My original idea was to take four pictures of two people, and I wanted them to express an emotion they feel on the average day. I also wanted them to show the emotion they run to, to cover up the real emotion. I wanted to also sew on top to demonstrate the emotion in sewing.
I changed my mind and didn’t something different.

As I was working on it I found myself going into the African Tribal theme. I took a picture of the women and turned it black and white on Photoshop. The only color I wanted in this project the thread. I came up with the name Urban Nubia because here in America we Africa Americans are far from our ancestry so that makes us the new black.

Gangsta Kodama Movie Cover

This project was not my best one it was to be put into Photoshop and made a movie cover. I black out the background using the bucket tool so I can come back later on and put a fog type of illusion over the Kodama people and the cityscape. I used the rectangle tool to make my own cityscape. I also used the circle tool to make the Kodama people at the top right hand corner. I like my outcome of the cover but I do fee it can be better.

Fashion what? Fashion who? immmm What School??

When doing the info graph I wanted to incorporate my fashion skills and let people know what my schedule in art school is in a easy but eye gripping way. This image I draw myself in my sketchbook and I scanned it in. I used the pen tool to draw a curved line, and then I used the typing tool and typed on top of the line to have curved text. I messed with different colors to get the right colors. I really like this project I had fun with it.

What is infofraphic???

DEFINE INFOGRAPHIC --->  graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly. They can improve cognition by utilizing graphics to enhance the human visual system’s ability to see patterns and trends. The process of creating infographics can be referred to as data visualization, information design, or information architecture.
I chose this info graph because who doesn't want to know "why do freeways come to a stop?". The title really caught my eye and then i feel when you add color to anything it always catches attention. I most say everyone goes through this like everyday. I think the topic is a simple but great one.

What'll it be, Daddy? when i first so that i was like WTH and is that a child uhmmm something isn't right with this. I also thought drinks I'm a college kid i want to know what this is about so i looked at it. this just tells you about drinks and how to make them.
I have seen this all my life when king to the doctor. It just shows you how to talk to your kids about health.
Who doesn't like to dance a little bit?? This shows you how to do the dance by using colors and arrows.

Papercraft Princess Mononoke Kodama

Templates on how to make Gangsta Kodama AKA Forest Spirit!!!

What you will need!!!
-Print out Templates
-scissors / x-acto knife
-glue (any kind is fine)

After you have printed out the templates I have put on here cut it out. (This is a link to the youtube video that showed me how to make this shoe step by step)

This is just a picture I found that I thought was really cool style.

This is the body of the character you basically just cut the solid lines and glue the tab to the other side.
The circle at the bottom is to put on the bottom of the body were there is a opening you glue.
There will be paper that you don't use on the circle you just cut it off.
Once you finished cut little round lines and there you will have a opening to put your legs.

Just like the body you do the same thing for the head. Cut an opening were the pointy piece of the body can fit in to the head.

These are the legs cut them out and you will not be glueing it end to end. Stick the blue one into the shoe and stick the other end into the bottom of the body. Cut out the purple one and glue the tab to the other end and bend down the triangle pieces and glue the round like circle to it. this will be the arms/hands. at the top of it put glue on it and place is where ever you like.

This will be the hat cut it in half under dope and cut out an round part for the snap back part.

After this your papercraft should look like this.

I had a lot of fun making this project it was hard at some times but over all it was great. On illustrator I used the Pen Tool. If you haven't seen the movie Princess Mononoke you should really look at it.

Invisible Children

In this picture I wanted to bring attention to what is going on in Africa with the activities of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in central Africa. In the LRA they have a leader named Joseph Kony. This group of people seek out children, kidnap, abuse, and force them to serve as soldiers.
